clown seal plush i made last year ‼️ hes so me frfr
His name is Cheesewheel, courtesy of @ushankaushanka
Pattern + sort of tutorial under the cut
his pattern is very basic and imprecise seeing as i did it all my eye but it works so. Yk.
If i ever made him a friend id probably separate the back panels and back arm panels to prevent folding and make the back panels wider to give him more dimension. Id probably also make the back head panels larger and add a "dart" in the top centre (not technically a dart seeing as its already two pieces of fabric but ykwim)
Rough tuts for ruffle and "pompoms" (click for full image)
I dont have any exact dimensions for the ruffle i kinda just went in blind but going off the size of fabric i was working from and the thickness of the ruffle now it was around 50cm by 7-8cm. Cheesewheel ended up being about 22.5cm so you can probably work out the scale (im lazy)(lmk if you need help w it tho and ill grab my cewl bad boy calculator)
My main tip with the ruffle is to not tie off your big long thread (the one that goes along the whole thing) before youve checked the size around the neck. Also longer frabric = tighter ruffle and vice versa.
His eyes and mouth are embroidered on but dont let that scare you its really easy (<- a creature that doesnt know how to embroider)
His nose is a button with red fabric glued on top of and tied up underneath. I also sewed the red fabric down on to his face a bit (if that makes any sense) so it sticks out less. His nose was about 2 hours of trial and error so theres probably a better way i couldve done it but it works so im happy
Feel free to use this pattern directly or to take inspiration, but please credit me (+ tag when possible) if you post it anywhere (i also just really want to see what y'all make)
