is there a reason you dont post your side stories on ao3? id love to see them there

I get this question a lot. I should make an FAQ or something. It's a personal choice, and I have a lot of reasons why I make it. But at the end of the day I only ever put on AO3 what I find accessible for a wider audience, and what I'm actually proud of and consider a good story. I really detest it when I feel like subpar writing is on my profile - it's bad enough my work from before 2022 exists lmfao.

I post stuff on my Tumblr because if there are 5 guys who would enjoy it then I want those 5 guys to feel happiness for a brief hour. I did post the OG No Chip AU because a small handful of people were super stoked whenever I posted one. That's about as much attention as I want to give a handful of subpar or unfinished or extremely strange work, though. Not everything has to be a big thing.

Seriously, though, do YOU guys post everything you write to AO3??? Do you do stuff with the stupid random shit you write because you're bored or possessed by demons??? It's a lot of work for stupid no-effort fics. I can't be the only person who just posts the top 10% actual decent stuff on AO3.

I fuckin love projectin onto my favorite characters like yes they all have somethin wrong with them that makes people mildly avoidant of them they're just like me fr!! (Even though I love Callum, I'm projectin heavily into Milton cuz he's just like me fr!!)

Callum: Eccentric, loud ADHD haver cuz he was quiet and shut away when he was younger due to his disability. He doesn't like bein quiet or alone cuz that's all he was when he was a lad. So now that he's a grown adult with people who basically hang on every word he says, he's gladly loud and holds a lot of emotion in his tone. Though I feel like he has a good poker face when he has to/wants to. The only times he's pretty quiet is when he's focused on work or he has a migraine or whatever. (Some people find his loud, eccentric attitude annoyin, and he may say he doesn't pay them any mind, but he does dwell on it every so often.)

Milton: Quiet, restin bitch face autism haver cuz he kinda just doesn't like people but he'll be pretty open and even sorta loud with people he's close with. He'll talk in a monotonous voice with outsiders, reporters, and the like. But when he's with the Crowns, he's relatively smiley, and he'll laugh and actually show emotion for once.

Marla: Analytical, scarily smart autistic. She can and WILL see through any charade you put up. And she'll call you out on it, too. Also, will find holes and flaws in anythin you do. (She only points them out cuz she wants you to improve and make the thing you did better in a /pos way, but her tone makes her sound like she's criticizin you even though she's not. And she gets confused and worried when you get upset about it.)
