Cregan Stark, the Lord of Winterfell & His Lady Wife Alysanne Blackwood

In 126 AC, Lord Cregan Stark, known by many names throughout his long life, took up the mantle of the Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North. As stoic and serious a man as any Stark, he became the head of the North at just 18, and served dutifully until the Dance of the Dragons began in 129 AC. Upon the beginning of the great war, Jacaerys Velaryon was said to have flown upon Vermax to rally support from the North, an endeavor that would prove fruitful as Lord Stark pledged his allegiance to the blacks after the pair came to an agreement that could come to be known as the Pact of Ice and Fire. While the North's involvement in the war was largely impeded by the great distance between the North and the South, where much of the war took place, their impact was felt nonetheless, and Cregan honored his pledge through the end of the Dance and into the rule of King Aegon III, Queen Rhaenyra's sullen heir. In what would be known as The Hour of the Wolf, Lord Stark would govern King's Landing in place of the boy king for six days, serving as Hand of the King for one before resigning from his duties. He would remain in the South until King Aegon III's coronation, in which he declined to serve as a regent for the boy.

It was during this six day period that Cregan Stark would find himself particularly taken with one Alysanne Blackwood, known better to most as Black Aly. Like Cregan, Alysanne was but a teen at the start of the Targaryen civil war, only 16, but her role in the Dance was nonetheless pivotal. A skilled archer, Black Aly was said to have slain a number of men with the arrows she loosened, but would become well known for her command of three hundred archers in the riverlands that slew the green knights during the Battle of the Kingsroad and unhorsed Lord Borros Baratheon from his horse, from then which Lord Kermit Tully would slay him. Alysanne would have the "honor," if one could call it such, to be one of the few commanders from either side of the war to have fought from it's beginning at Burning Mill to it's end in the Muddy Mess.

The pair would come together finitely as Stark took on the burden of exacting justice on those involved in the poisoning death of King Aegon II, a death that Cregan viewed as dishonorable. One of the accused was the Lord of the Tides, Corlys Velaryon, who claimed his actions were in favor of the Seven Kingdoms. While Cregan was initially resolute in sentencing Corlys to death, he would later accede to the wishes of the then Prince Aegon, who himself had been convinced to spare the Sea Snake by Daemon Targaryen's twin daughters, Baela and Rhaena. It was here that Black Aly was said to have offered the final push for Corlys' freedom, as she was said to have argued for the sake of the realm, honor, and peace, but ultimately requested his sparing as a personal boon, to which she would be indebted to Lord Stark for whatever he wished. Having already grown enamored with the aberrant Alysanne, he requested her hand in marriage, to which she was said to have readily accepted, already captivated by the stern Lord of Winterfell.

With the help of Alysanne, Lord Stark found a solution for the ever-looming problem of the widowed, childless, unwed, homeless, old, and young men of the North who would have otherwise greatly troubled the region in the impending winter. Hundreds of couples would be wed in the coming days, and those who did not take a wife would become sworn swords for the riverlands' lords, especially Houses Tully and Blackwood, all of which revived the faith in the Old Gods in the South. Before her death, Black Aly would give birth to four daughters.

One of my favorite interactions from Fire & Blood is Cregan and Alysanne's conversation pertaining to Corlys' release and their agreement. I absolutely adore Cregan as a character, and god, was he so hot in HotD (which is why I made his sim look more like Tom Taylor than what the book described), so his relationship with Alysanne was just another plus.

Alphabetto Roulette Bachelor Challenge

It's Abi's birthday!! We invite over Abi's high school friend group - which happens to include her ex, but they're still friends, as well as the contestants to Jordyn's bachelor challenge.

Everyone celebrating her blowing out her candles! She aged up with the Family-Oriented, Avoidant, and Insider trait, having 6 kids (good thing she had the family-oriented trait), Comedian career (because it goes with her aspiration), and when she is done with the bachelor challenge and moves out her housewarming gift will be a dumpster.

Abigail gives goodbye hugs to her family before she has to stay in the bachelor mansion for weeks and then move to a new lot.
