can everyone stop reblogging that post about every palestinian gofundme being a scam.

no they are NOT all funding human trafficking and the vetting process DOES NOT come down to “just trust me bro”. if any of you did one ounce of research you would be able to find posts well-known bloggers have made about the vetting process and what is involved, you would know how difficult it is to even make a verified gofundme, and you would be able to use common sense to see if an account sending you asks or messages is valid or not.

the amount of callousness and carelessness it takes to dismiss all of these people desperately trying to reach out as scammers is unfathomable to me. supremely unhelpful, and to spread that message just makes things worse. furthermore, the op of the post i’ve seen going around linked to several charities that have suspended gaza operations because of the danger to their workers. pure ignorance.

i am begging you, please stop spreading these dangerous lies.
