Anna,

We don’t know each other well yet. In some ways I guess I know you, but there’s so much more to a person that matters beyond what I witnessed during those years. It feels wrong to claim to know you; you didn’t even know who I was, and yet I could see everything.

There are things that someone needs to explain to you. Right now, I hope that Kratos will do it, so all I’ll say is that I’m happy you’re here. I’m happy to hear your laugh and see you smile. 

Thank you for loving Kratos. For so long he thought himself unworthy of it, I think. He didn’t let himself feel such things, but he deserves and needs it so much. He needs someone who can care for him no matter how much he doesn’t care for himself; I believe you’re that person. I believe you’re everything he needs, and that he’s the same for you. Even if he is impossibly stubborn, isn’t he? Such a silly man.

I hope we become closer friends as time goes on. We share experiences that no one else can truly understand. We share a homeland. And we share a belief in the world, no matter how dark it becomes.

I’m glad to know you, Anna Aurion.

Anna,

You and I don’t talk about feelings much. I know I could come to you with that if I needed to, and I’m pretty sure you know I’m always here for you as well, but I think we both like having a friend who we can set aside the world with to watch shit movies and trade work stories. 

But I’m bad about not always telling people when they matter to me. I think maybe it makes it too real, and so the risk of being hurt when a person...leaves...feels higher. In any case, I want you to know that you’re a valuable friend to me. I’m grateful for your ability to make me smile even when I feel awful, and for the mother henning you do that both of us pretend to be oblivious to.

I don’t know if we remember people from here if we’re pulled back to our own worlds, but I’d like to think I won’t forget you. Thank you for being my friend, even when it isn’t easy.

Who does your character love like family?

Naruto is of course number one on Iruka’s list, even if I don’t actively write that into posts often. He’s the only person he’d truly count as family in canon (although his village’s beliefs that he subscribes to are about treating everyone else in the village as one large family that protects and needs protecting). Here in Citta, Cyrran is family, and so are Daylen, Yamaguchi and Anna. I don’t know that he realizes that since he hasn’t had the time to really process how he feels about the people he knows, but Daylen and Anna are definitely like younger siblings he loves to mess with mixed in with good friends, and Yama’s the kid brother/foster son (for lack of a better term) he’d do anything for even if he gives him so much shit
