I had to read 3 books that involved either outright paedophilia or the use of children to convey sexual metaphors. Three! They made up the entirety of my required novel reading for the AS level course! I hated it! They really should set up courses like this with an option for kids to choose between books and study them themselves or something, so content someone's extremely uncomfortable with can be avoided.

Ikr??? Like, at some point the higher ups should think about what they’re making children read?? I’m all for making students read and appreciate controversial stuff to make them think, but does the curriculum really need more than one creepy incest relationship written by middle aged people, if at all???

Ah jeeze, sorry to hear that! If they're being really disruptive phoning your landlord sounds like the right idea. Maybe earphones might work best for now? My parents are foster carers so that's my resort when children in the house are screaming

it’s more than just good! it’s amazing! it feels like a fairy tale that debunks popular fairy tale tropes (especially the noble prince that saves the day) while also dealing with social issues that are present to this day. it’s full of beautiful symbolism, great characters and a very unique story. it’s a bit difficult to watch during its middle part, but it’s still a great show either way!
