also did i never show off the updated design for Pocus and new reverse flash here? reverse flash was solely made so i can go "no not the dc one! haha" but he comes from a classic Reverse Dimension where everyone good is evil and everyone evil is good. together pocus and revflash kinda make like a Wario and Waluigi to iris and flash to me

i dont post about iris of the storm (my superhero story) as much as i should but HEY! finally finished up a trio of not-actually-that-nice heroes in the league of heroes! iris has nicknamed them The Zoo because theyre all animal hybrids and also she thinks theyre dumb and she hates them.
DUKE TRIGGER AKA MORTAL COIL- snake themed hero with the power to hypnotize people. infamous for going way too rough on missions and ends up scaring civilians he saves more than the villains. squeezes the life out of his assignments, metaphorically. has caused millions in property damage. "well i'd like to see you do it with these evil-ass powers!" is usually his defense.
VALENCIO PEREZ AKA EL VALIENTE- he is latino but he is no sabo but he is constantly calling girls mamacita. this is important because iris is mexican and fully bilingual in english and spanish and she wants to murder him. man-moth hybrid! infamous for taking on way too many distress calls at once and will often abandon smaller calls to run off and do bigger ones, like a moth to a light. also dumb as rocks.
LIAN ZHU AKA POND GIRL- half-girl, half-poison dart frog, but is far more famous for being a belligerent hacker because "tasting everything with my tongue is extremely disgusting". infamous for stealing peoples' distress calls in the middle of them doing it and wrapping them up herself. she literally leapfrogs off peoples' backs

I kinda went down a rabbit hole because I got curious what your story Escape from Canvandro was and first of all WOW ITS SUCH A CREATIVE STORY!!!! SO COOLLL!!! Genuinely the characters are so creative i wanna shake them in a jar.
I haven't seen all the characters yet but I think my favourites have to be The Director / Glitz Glamiller. I love that name so much, i think his power is so so so cool, like. He makes them believe they're the character to get a realistic performance!!!??? Thats fucking NUTS in the best way possible!!!!
He reminds me of Dj Grooves and I love Dj Grooves so yes I'm biased.
And Blitz Deville. Also an incredible name. I just think they're both so interesting!!!! Especially Blitz / Billy. The poor guy thought he was a supervillain for TEN YEARS wHAT. Also his design is so fun
....also Toti and Pollyanna are so interesting. But I will never forgive him for fumbling Pollyanna SHE'S GORGEOUS AND COOL AND FFS SAKE TOTI YOU DUMBASS. I COULD TREAT HER BETTER / PLATONICALLY. / silly. Okay but I do seriously think they're so cool and fascinating and I want to dissect them like frogs but that's weird to say sorry-
But the reason I made this ask is because as I was looking through the posts and reading them in my head. Every. Time . I read Canvandro as Caravaggio. Yes the italian painter. EVERY TIME AaaaUGHH my brain thought it said Caravaggio ONE TIME and now im cursed to read it as Escape from Caravaggio.
( also rip your notifications. I was trying to be mindful to not mass like but like... I was like " okay I'll like this one but I have to hold back on the next-" over and over. )
THANK YOU!! canvandro as a story is very dear to me i really MUST post about it more often. even beyond the gauss gang. ignore my obvious bias. also very funny about the caravaggio mistake cos i did have to write like a 10 page essay on the guy just last year for my rome trip
POLLYANNA IS VERY COOL. and i think toti is objectively in the wrong in a lot of ways but she also, yknow. shes a dour pessimist who thinks the world's out to get her a lot of the time. her and toti had this very naive dream of making the city better, but even though toti was the one who fell to greed and the promises of lady arcana, i think their plan was always doomed to fail. cos internally pol had already given up on the place. she wasnt *really* looking for reform, i think. she was looking for a boot to grind into people. for revenge. yknow. and by the time both of them have had their run as mayor they both realize they were kinda twisted and misguided and that maybe they can be people who make mistakes Together yknow
I LOVE DIRECTOR/THE SPARKLING SHORES TRIO ALSO. i actually made him before i played ahit and then when i saw grooves i was like Oh My God. glitz is such a has-been it makes me laugh. hes so past his prime its crazy. but he thinks hes Still Got It 100%. but he did always have a soft spot for billy. that was his On The Set son. and obviously glitz was the one who set off a domino chain but he never could have known billys parents would have sped off before he ripped up that contract. ITS COMPLICATED. but like. theyre all coming around. theyre still closeish despite it all. blitz tried to kill director a few times so hes satisfied
