When I stumble upon a lil sample connection, it can feel like magical or just extra special like aww it found me when I like needed it lmao 🥺. I’ve been wanting to finish listening to Earth, Wind, and Fire’s entire catalogue but mainly felt like listening to dreamy / synthy ballads on my walk last night, which led me to EWF’s Elements of Love: Ballads 😭, which led me to “Devotion” and when I made the connection to Mo Thugs I full on almost cried lmao. 

One, because it made me think of when I first heard “Thug Devotion” which ofc was so special to me ugh, and I instantly thought of the visual which truly changed my lyfe lol. And ofc the original song is so beautiful, so then I just started thinking about what makes both groups so special. Ugh I literally want to discuss it for hours lol. I can just tell how much BTNH and DJ U-Neek appreciate EWF and just amazing sounds esp the best of the best r&b, funk, blues, hip hop, jazz, legit everything lol. 

Like I think I am going to try and post more about how I think Bones are like the EWF of rap lololol plus like more posts about cute connections I see or like how BTNH are so inspired by EWF it’s just so sweet to me. I just kept thinking about how experiential listening to EWF can be. You just feel sm ofc because of the like multi-instrumentalists amazing amazing talent but the vocal range and harmonies alone are so unreal like next level!!! Which made me be like omg I always go on and on with BTNH about how special it is that you can get like Krayzie’s super low register vocals, Krayzie / Layzie / Wish all have beautiful tones and like bass in their flows, Bizzy’s high register unique vocal tone, and the group harmonizing together all in one song ????? like there aren’t many groups not even limited to rap that have that vocal range without heavy machinery im like without electronics lmao. Plus I swear i kept being like I love that Krayzie legit has the vocal range and talent to be in EWF.

 Ugh and plus the more I listen to EWF the more I am noticing some connections with themes within lyrics and visuals between EWF & BTNH it’s so cute my heart can’t take it lol. Ugh I want to explore this more or provide more visual examples lmao so I don’t go on and on like this... will anyone listen / care? lmao, who knows? But it’s all just fun to think about and process !! 🌄🌞✨⛰🌅🧡💀
