A Blazing Nightlight
Blaine woke up on a cold sweat, and it took him a good minute or so to be able to breath like a normal person and remember where the hell he was. Nightmares weren't new to him, he got them a lot, but this was the first time he had gotten one while at McKinley. He looked around the dark practically empty room, even though this wasn't the room in his dream it wasn't the padded room, it still didn't comfort him. He knew he should roll over and go back to sleep, but he couldn't. He felt like if he closed his eyes that same suffocating feeling would swallow him whole.
He knew that the only way he would truly feel better was if he talked about it...but there was not a snowballs chance in hell he was going to save it and talk to a doctor in the morning. Hell the doctors were the reason why he had the nightmare. He knew he would only be able to talk about this with someone who understood and was there, and that left only one person: Blaze.
Blaine really had no idea what time of night it was but judging how quiet it was he guessed it was pretty late. Blaine swung his feet off the bed and stood up and headed to the door. He opened it carefully and stuck his head out to make sure no orderlies were anywhere in the hall before he quickly slipped out and hurried barefoot down the hall to Blaze's room. Part of him felt bad for being a little glad that Blaze's insomnia was so bad, but currently the larger winning part of him was glad for it. It meant that Blaze would be awake and probably more then likely willing to have a little company to occupy the long late hours of the night with talk....even if it was about a nightmare...
When Blaine reached Blaze's room he carefully knocked on the door in a manner that was obvious it wasn't an orderly."Blaze" he said softly but close to the door glad the flimsy doors to the room could be heard though. "Its Blaine." a moment later the door opened a little bit enough to see Blaze's eyes. Blaine looked up apologetically and chewed on his lip, hoping Blaze wouldn't just tell him to go back to his room.
