Smith Global Engagement Seminar- Hiking Mount Longonot

This Saturday we hiked Mount Longonot, a dormant volcano that’s 9,111 ft! Once we got to the top we hiked around the crater of the volcano which was 8 km. It was difficult but very rewarding and very fun! Since we’re all off doing different internships during the week, it was nice to come together as a group over the weekend for the hike. It took about 5 hours total, and afterwards we had a fun picnic at the bottom! Here’s a picture of us at the top of the volcano showing Smith pride on our clothes!

Even though the academic portion of the seminar is over, we still get together at least once a week for fun activities like these. Usually it’s dinner, so this hike was really memorable!
