Crawford County library board reviews revised plans for new Mountainburg facility

The Crawford County Library System Board on Tuesday took a look at the updated site and floor plans for a new library planned for Mountainburg.

Galen Hunter of MAHG Architecture presented the board with the updates Tuesday during the board's regular meeting at the Alma Public Library. The library system in 2016 acquired two plots at 223 U.S. 71 to build a new library, which will be bigger and closer to downtown Mountainburg than the current building at 1300 N. U.S. 71.

3 things to know from the Crawford County Library Board meeting

Members of the Crawford County Library Board met Tuesday and learned that the site of the planned new Mountainburg library is nearly clear and ready for the next phase of groundwork.

The board also discussed plans for expansion in Mulberry and a revamped website for the whole system.

I'm off the mountain...and on another one. Lol! I'll be working at a little town north of Fort Smith now. It's not nearly as far away as the state park and it has more food options. People of Mountainburg! Give me food suggestions!
