Mountain Huts Hikes in Swiss Alps
Hiking in Switzerland from one cabin to another gives a unique experience in the mountains that you won't discover on a single-day trip. The mountain huts in Switzerland are cozy, scenic, and, most importantly, secluded. They give an opportunity to rest your head and replenish without having to descend to the next town. Because mountain lodges provide everything from substantial meals to cheerful storytelling with fellow hikers, there is no need to pack hefty camping gear or food.
Including over 100 cottages to select from, hut-to-hut hiking in Switzerland may be a challenge. We've collected up to five of our favorite multi-day treks in Switzerland that conclude each day at a wonderfully located mountain chalet to help you narrow it down.
This hut is known as Chamonna Tuoi Hut.
On the Schellen Urseli theme trail, a number of activities connected to the famous Swiss children's book may be found nearby. In our own words, While going to the mountain hut Switzerland, we hiked about half of the path, then returned to the other half. It is located at the end of a long valley; the hut is a perfect retreat surrounded by mountains. An exciting river runs right next to the hut and is a great location to take the kids before night.
It's like stone against stone.
A mountain lodge with 50 beds in the Swiss Bernese Alps is situated in unique surroundings: the glaciers that receded here left behind a flawlessly polished rock field called the "Lapis de Tsanfleuron" - below Les Diablerets ski resort. A few hundred yards distant from the glacier, the cabin may be found today amid a stone moon-like environment.
THE GREENA ROAD
A few days in the highlands may be spent exploring the Greina Plateau, both large and picturesque. This gorgeous environment has been preserved in its natural splendor, from the lush green meadows to the babbling mountain brooks.
Runachez is the starting point for a popular two-day trek that leads you through ethereal woods and past lovely waterfalls up to the Terri Hut. Here you'll spend the night before descending across the marshes to Lake Luzzone and Ghirone. Other mountain cottages on the Greina Plateau can be reached by climbing another day or two.
