Hearing Chef Willin Low on how Wild Rocket got started have me nodding in understanding. What started as a yearning for home while studying in a foreign land, led to a search for ingredients that are often times difficult find. Instead, Chef Willin resourcefully substituted with local ingredients found but still have a taste of home. The result is Modern Singaporean cuisine (or Mod Sin as it popularly known in Singapore today) a fusion of local Singaporean flavours but created with ingredients that are traditional and often times foreign. The restaurant’s modern mood, aesthetically clean and pleasing decor sits as a perfect setting on Mount Emily.
