general appearance: there is not a single day that goes by that people don't comment on how nate's genes failed to even try. the only thing from nate maddie inherits is the way her hair goes just that little bit lighter in the summer, but otherwise she is ninety nine percent alison. same sparkling shade of hazel that shine green in the light, dark brown hair that hangs in loose untamed curls, short but shapely but very much with a baby face that she never grows out of. almost always found in jeans and some random t-shirt she liked the look of. and on the odd occasion, if her mom hasn't gotten to it first, she'll steal her dad's jacket and pair it with combat boots and bell bottoms.
personality: animal lover meets the most sarcastic little shit you've ever met. there hasn't been day since she learnt how to talk that maddie hasn't sassed someone out. it doesn't matter how much bigger or older they are, she will not hold back. but she's incredibly loving, she sees someone in need, she won't stop to think, she'll just help. if she's not stopping traffic to help a family of ducks cross the road, she's usually bringing home every manner of creature going, stressing out her poor old dad but making her mama smile.
special talents: her aim is deadly, growing up with a dad that quite literally shoot the wings off a fly, maddie wasn't going to be any less impressive. she learned to shoot at age ten, and by sixteen she was better than her old man. her aim isn't just good with guns, give her something to throw, and a target, and her arm turns into a canon.
who they like better: when she was young, there wasn't a moment where she wasn't by nate's side, following him everywhere on the ranch, learning from him how to treat the animals right and care for them. once she was a little older, wanted to talk about more womanly things, she stuck to alison more and more. if you asked maddie to pick, she couldn't, she loves her parents both.
who they take after more: alison for sure, the same habits, the same mannerisms, the same way they throw their head back when they laugh, both like brown sugar and cinnamon in their coffee, both hate the idea of living in moderation, both want to live life to the full.
personal headcanons: if someone is rude to her once, that it's, she no longer wishes to ever interact with that person again. if given the option, she'd eat pizza every single night. she can quote the entire script of ghostbusters by heart. she has several tattoos hidden from her parents.
