another attempt at a digital art mouse friend :)
I managed to help a mouse yesterday! Friend's cat had carried into the kitchen but I got hold of it. Poor little thing was so scared but perked up abit when I carefully petted its ears and head. I found that there was a piece of litter stuck around its throat. It was trucky to remove, had to pull it over the mouse's ears.. I was so worried it'd panic but it was actually calm until I had pulled it off, then it ran up my arm, down again, over to the other arm and eventually down to the ground. It sat looking around abit, then it carefully hopped over the gravel path to the lawn, where it began jumping about abit before running off.
It was so tiny. It's rare to see an actual mouse here, most of the time there are gophers or shrews.
Slightly blurry photo of Sierra and the damage she caused while hunting. I managed to rescue it, harder this time because it ran halfway into one of those bloody sticky traps ( I HATE those but my Mother keeps buying them.) so I got Sierra to move away and put my Hello Kitty trash can over the whole thing and some cardboard underneath. I didn’t think I’d be able to get it downstairs and outside so I took the trash can on the balcony along with my mineral oil and slowly poured some around the mouse, hoping I wouldn’t drown the poor thing. It eventually got loose and sat there for a bit. I was hope it didn’t have any internal injuries but nothing else I could do for it. About 5 mins later he was gone. We are on the second floor but I figure he can get where he needs to go. I don’t even care if it’s back in here so long as Sierra doesn’t get him. Because that’s another $48 deworming pill and the risk of her possibly ingesting rat poison.
Ok, so I went to go clean out Bratwurst's tank yesterday, and she got away from me! She escaped, and burrowed into the wood in the bathroom sink, in the little strip not caulked between the wall and the wood. I thought she was a goner, thought she's be somebody's mouse in the wall, and I'd never see her again -- but no! HUSBAND GOT HER OUT. Bratwurst is safe again, back in her tank, just super dusty looking.
I'm kind of hoping I just hallucinated it and actually have some form of schizophrenia. Would still be better than having a mouse running around
I just saw a mouse in the house and now I’m freaking out
i need to sleep.. . pls dont run across my face when im sleeping, mouse
OH NO.. WHAT IF IT HAS BABIES.. THE BABIES WILL DIE IF I TAKE IT AWAY..... FUCK
