Drawing with a mouse is possible

To those who don’t have any drawing tablet simply because they can’t afford it, PLEASE use a mouse instead. It sometimes boils my head whenever I see someone complaining that they don’t have a tablet. While I actually do the same thing not so frequently, I took a different route and adapted to my habitat.

All of my stuff are done with just a laptop, an external keyboard, some cracked programs I quickly threw away because you know pirating shit is actually a bad thing, and a mouse, yet I’m able to make good stuff out of it. It just requires patience, practice, and dedication.

Here how you can start (very important message at the bottom of the post!):

Use Medibang or Firealpaca. It has about 1-40 scales to adjust how heavy the stabilizer is. Free, and fast.

Use the softwares to their full potential. I’ve seen visual artists use only brushes, eraser tools, and nothing else. Use selection, transform stuff, use color adjusters, levels, tone curves, snap tools, the fucking shift key. THE SHIFT KEY, gaussian blur, shape brush tool, and so much more!

There’s gimp but it sorta sucks. Krita is good but I’m too lazy to learn anything new lol. Will probs get myself on it in the near future.

PS and DISCLAIMER: Its actually dangerous to use mouse for long periods of time, especially when it comes to repetitive movements. With practice, I was able to draw with ease and use the similar effort to drawing with pencils and pens, so I’m currently running the same risk of drawing with pencils. Avoid applying a lot of effort and pressure on your hands whenever you do this, keep your elbows at the same or lower level than your wrist in horizontal position, use keyboard hot keys, and TAKE BREAKS from time to time. The thing about my way of drawing is that I don’t sketch with lines. I draw directly with colors from start to finish. The same amount of effort can done on sketching with dumb lines so its honestly a waste of time for me. If you’re experiencing any pain, please stop and consult your doctor.
