this is such a cute tournament! I'm bummed I didn't know about it in time to submit and can't believe nobody submitted Alexander from Alexander and the Wind Up Mouse or another Leo Lionni mouse! But still lots of my faves are in here :)

Yeah, there are probably many mice that would be perfect for this tournament that didn't get submitted... But at least with your ask we can spread the word about these mice! I haven't heard of those before so I learned something new today 💡🐁

So nice were my favorite animal as a child and reading my favorite pastime, so this tournament is practically made for me and it's reminding me of so many books and mice I loved. So thanks :) Although I'm def going to cry if my faves get pitted against each other

I also love reading, and the Redwall series left a big impact on me as a kid, as well as plenty of other books and media with mice as major characters. So I'm glad I'm reaching my target audience!! Already some of these matchups are hard for even me to decide on, but hopefully as we approach the finals I don't cause you too much distress... 🐭

i follow multiple tournaments and your polls came right after one of let-them-say-fuck's and i got a little confused. "wow there sure are a lot of mice ppl think deserve to cuss." great dashboard experience wouldn't change a thing

Waaa Turnip was so close to getting in! I completely understand not havin enough room though. But I’m so glad you decided to look into Chicory: A Colorful Tale though! It’s made by the same people that made Wandersong and Lena Raine did the soundtrack! It’s honestly one of my favorite games. Even though my lil guy didn’t make it, I’m so glad that I was able to share the game with someone! <3

tbf if you let in all the "not enough room" mice and all but one of the "too similar" mice you wouldve had a nice 64 :•( the mice couldve made it in...

This is true! I do regret not having the full 64, a little bit, but I did have a legitimate reason for excluding the "too similar" mice.

In my initial post about what was allowed for submissions, I said "The intention is to have only one mouse per its original context, but that depends on the amount and kinds of submissions."

I really tried to stick to the rules I set in that post, as I wanted to stay true to my word. I had told myself that if I did not have enough submissions to form a tournament without including "similar" characters that I would include them. However, I did end up having enough for 48 characters, which also made it a little easier on me for match-ups and gathering descriptions and such.

Hopefully, you will forgive me for not including everyone. Thank you for your ask!
