i decided to do some mouth refs of my fantrolls, incase y'all need knowledge of what type of teeth they have

Orpheus: mostly flat teeth, but with 2 fangs/canines on each side

Forama: same case with orpheus, except only one canine/fang

Lylari: very symmetrical, almost kinda vampiric looking too

Maleea: very flat, human like teeth

Kamikawa: same type as forama

Kilorn: almost like a mix of wolf and oni teeth

Chirus: sharp teeth, which is in reference to his sprite

Kuhuss: 2 sets of fangs on him, and mostly flat teeth otherwise

Arorun: sharp front teeth on top, the rest are flat teeth

Feansa: mostly sharp teeh, except for some of the flat front teeth

Musima: her teeth are kind of based on an otter, since i needed some sea animals to reference for these folk

Loki: Same thing, except his teeth are more based on an Eel

Hey I love you art and I really like the way you draw mouths and lips. Do you have tips or a mini tutorial on how you draw the shape of lips?

sorry for getting to this so late! but yeah i can give a few pointers!

i don’t get too detailed when working with mouths unless i’m painting. i usually stick to very simple shapes, keep the lines as rounded and as fluid as i can. i want them to fit the face and look as natural as i can get them. here are a couple of examples

i do the basic shape of the mouth and then add the accentuation lines for the lips. i typically draw them so they press towards the mouth, to give it more form. that way they don’t seem super flat. it’s good to vary the size of the lips, you don’t want them all to be paper thin, or all be huge.

and then the actual lips themselves are all done when i color! here are those mouths with color and lips added. the top lip is a little darker than the bottom since light naturally falls on your bottom lip. 

when i’m drawing men i typically stick to peachier tones for the lips, more natural, and for women i will do just about anything else haha. i also color my lineart to be a dark red or burgundy so you don’t have any stark black in there to look out of place.
