Ive burned plenty of bridges that have been absolutely appropriate to burn. With that being said....I will NEVER stand in the way of my spouse or kids wanting to mend bridges with others bits it’s been THEIR choice not to and I stand by that as well 100%. If they want to mend them I will not stop them but I will NOT mend them myself. I was so done in March 2017 when my kids were stood up by their dad’s father, lied to, and haven’t existed to that “family” since. IMO those relationships were burned and not worth fixing but that’s my spouse and kids decisions to make.
