When I’m sitting in a chair at school, I let myself dangle off the chair/desk sometimes and just intensely move around a lot, sometimes touching the floor or draping myself off the front of the desk. Would this be considered stimming?
It could be. A lot of repetitive movement can be stimming. And there are some of us that stim using fast or intense movement and gravity for that intense feeling. I myself will let my hands dangle and rotate my forearm back and forth really fast (think T-Rex hands that you shake a lot). It creates a really intense feeling.
Basically, if you do it for sensory stimulus (taste, sight, sounds, feel either internal or external, smell, etc) then it can be a stim.
