Desperate for Help
My fiancé was seriously injured at his job, and his job refuses to to give him workman's comp. He has been contacting attorneys, but not one wants to take the case. Meanwhile, he cannot work and needs to have surgery on his knee. He lost his insurance when they fired him.
He also filed for unemployment, but our state is 5 months behind on reviewing claims. It doesn't look like there will be any help from there.
Our landlord wants us out in the first week of October. We owe back rent and are behind on the electric bill. Our van is breaking down, and we need it to move. We don't even have money for food and personal/household items. We have gone to the food bank several times, but you can only get so much.
Our backs are against the wall, and we are in a precarious position. We are selling whatever we have that is worth anything, but we aren't having much luck there either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Time is running out for us, and both of my daughters are dealing with anxiety over this.
