Currently crafting a fic where Xiang Fei is a renowned NMW disciple who does disguise commissions for a living and one of the Twelve Petals of the Velvet Shade (12 CQM peak lords here) the OG SQH, who is also his distant cousin commissions XF to disguise as him during a banquet cuz OG SQH is assigned to entertain a certain Prince of the North and he don't wanna

Cue the misunderstanding:

og!SQH: I need you to entertain a certain someone for me

XF: mf I don't do that typa shi here

og!SQH: I'll pay your TRIPLE the amount pls just do this for me

og!SQH: (shows him a picture of MBJ) You like handsome men, see how handsome he is? You can def entertain him

XF:.....deal....

*A few days later*

og!SQH: (Barging into XF's place) WHY DID MOBEI JUN JUST SEND A LETTER DEMANDING ME FOR MY HAND IN MARRIAGE AND TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY?! WHAT EXACTLY DID YOU DO?!

XF: You said "Entertain" him! That's exactly what I did!

My Danmei Kid and Parenting Head Canons: Moshang

Parenting: Mobei Jun’s parenting style is very common amongst other demons. Mama bird style: kick them out of the nest and they’ll probably learn to fly. Putting them is situations that make Shang Qinghua blanch with fear to teach them life skills and independence. It always works out, his kids extremely capable, and it all seems rather normal to Mobei Jun. Shang Qinghua had never been very gooey mushy lovey dovey type and still feigns this idea of apathy but he adores his kids dearly to point he wears himself to the bone caring for them and never says no to having another. He pisses and moans about the work they put him through but seeing their chubby blue faces always softens his heart (though he’ll cough it off). In short, his kids exhaust the hell out of him and Mobei Jun certainly doesn’t help with his barbaric Demon parenting traditions but despite his careless, apathetic approach at most things, he really can’t help but slave away for the sake of his kids.

Xia and Fei were mixed up at birth, being identical and all, so no remembers which one was born first. Mobei Jun’s throne still needs to be inherited one day so the two always fight tooth and nail at any opportunity for their birthright. These fights are always terrifyingly violent for their age and make Shang Qinghua feel faint. He assures them that they can just figure it out when the day comes and that their no need to fight, but Xia and Fei’s competitiveness always prevails over all reason.

Xuehua, Dong, and Leng are mischievous and inseparable. They like pulling pranks under their parents noses and mess with the other demon lords in their father’s court. Xuehua likes to use her coquettish charms and lure unsuspecting people into their traps, Dong like to strategize and come up with dastardly schemes, and Leng likes to jump into the fray like a rabid animal, fangs and claws first. Only three, but Shang Qinghua has no clue what to do with this devilish behavior.

Aibing takes after Shang Qinghua the most, therefore, Mobei Jun never puts him down. Despite their first five raised the demon way, Mobei Jun decides his methods are unfit for Aibing so he questions Shang Qinghua how to raise him the human way. This involves all lot of back and forth about “won’t that make him weak?” but Mobei Jun always acquiescing and let’s Shang Qinghua make the decisions. This ends up inciting jealousy in the older five who band together to torment their youngest brother.

All in all, Shang Qinghua spends most of his parenthood utterly frightened.

So in the svsss extras, Mobei Jun had a fancy car- but did Mobei Jun really quickly learn how to drive??

I don't think he could've/would've wanted to learn so quickly, so I'd like to imagine that while he's a sugar daddy for Shang Qinghua, he also has the little guy still doing everything for him.

Mobei Jun buys a fancy car, and Shang Qinghua drives him around. Mobei Jun sits in the backseat, AC fully cranked up. (SQH would think it's more romantic to sit next to each other, but he does NOT want to be driving while the coldest AC in the universe is on him. Thank goodness his seat can be heated.)

SQH fills the car up with gas because he doesn't want to have a long conversation with MBJ on how to do it. He also opens MBJ's doors (if he doesn't, MBJ will sadly sit in the hot car)

If SQH wonders out loud in a large parking lot, "I wonder where our car is" MBJ will assume the car was able to move on its own. He walks away, determined to buy another one

Also/Sidenote, MBJ is fascinated with the lights that turn on in the backseat. SQH puts on the most serious face possible and tells him it's illegal to have them on
