HES JUST SO relieved that their friendship is restored... he had missed him a huge amount during the past ten years and felt especially betrayed by his departure. the fact that his chldhood hero left because he couldnt handle his presence was the spawn of johns curent abandonment issues

but ever since they talked all through, things are better. they get to see each other as just young men doing their best and supporting each other through that. john will always love and support him

One (1) thing he likes...

He tries to be as analytical and objective about his job as possible, but one thing you can use to make him smile and even melt a LITTLE at that black hole he calls a heart of his??

Show him pics of baby mushrooms, or mushrooms growing up. One of his biggest delights is seeing his crops grow day by day, and he finds mycology truly fascinating. Baby shroom pics will get him captive.

AS FOR ONE THING HE DISLIKES...

He detests feeling left out of things. In his head, he has to be superior to everyone he considers peers, rivals, subjects or enemies, and if he sees that they’re onto something that is working but he doesn’t fully grasp how it works, it’ll drive him up the fucking wall.

It’s even worse if it’s an area of interest or a methodology of work that he loathes or goes against everything he stands for - but he STILL has to understand what’s going on so he can obviously bash it even better and come up on top.
