In honour of turning 18 in just under 2 weeks (ahhh), I've started drawing characters that defined my childhood. This is the first (and maybe only) of these characters: Emma Bloom from MPHFPC!

Under the cut are some notes on the drawing, as well as the two previous versions of the image because this is a redraw!

I really liked the anger from the original version of this piece as Emma feels more like an angry character than a sad one. However, the angle from both of these felt right too because she doesn't seem like a loud, public outburst kind of angry. I'm not 100% proud of the new pose but it feels more Emma to me, or maybe just more appropriate. I don't think she'd be stood up whilst burning the letters and trinkets from Abe. However, I didn't want her sat comfortably, so she's sat on her heels. Overall, I think it's a huge improvements, especially since Emma has been one of my favourite characters since I first read the series when I was 12.
