All through dinner I avoided eye Contact with Hugh and pretty much kept myself to myself, as always. We then rushed out side to witness once again our beautiful display, that never gets old. As the bomb rose back up into the air I felt a nervous hand brush mine. It was Hugh's. As he gently took hold of my hand I felt butterfly's flitting around in my stomach. As we stood there in our gas masks looking up into the sky. We were conveniently stood behind every one else so they didn't see us and our hand holding. It was nice because I felt happy and didn't around people often. So it was even better. As I lay in my bed looking up at the ceiling I painted with delicate flowers and proud trees, my head was buzzing with crazy thoughts preventing me from sleeping. I guess Hugh does like me then? Because he held my hand? Did it actually mean anything because it did to me. I Hugh? I think so... I'd never been in love before. But I liked it. These where the types of thoughts that filled my head as I tossed and turned trying to fall asleep. Eventually I drifted of into restless, dreamless sleep. I woke to the muffled sounds coming from across the hall. So seeing as I was now awake I slipped out of bed and quietly tiptoed out of my room and saw Hugh's door slightly ajar. There was no light on so assuming he was sleeping I peeked into his room. To see him frantically shoving a bulging leather bound note book into his bed side table. Wanting to get a better look I banged the door with my foot. I cursed under my breath as Hugh shot around to look straight at me. As I was just turning on my heels ready to flee to my room. I felt a hand grab my shoulder and pull me into his room and shut the door quietly. "Are you OK?" he asked me real concern in his eyes. I frantically nodded in response nerves taking away my ability to speak. I nervously took hold of his hand and he held it tight. It was comforting. We layed down on his bed and snuggled together my head resting on his chest and gently stroked my head. The is allowed me to finally drift of to sleep.I woke up laying next Hugh and for a second I had forgot the events of last night so it had startled me. My movements had caused Hugh to wake up as well. Hey he said smiling down at me, I smiled back truly happy. It was then Hugh bent down and kissed me gently on the lips it surprised me at first but it sent of fireworks in my head. It was the most wonderful thing I had ever experienced, I never wanted it to end and by the look on Hughs face he felt the same.
