P90X (Classic): Day 7: I Keep Trekking
July 16, 2017
It was Sunday, it was the end of the first week of P90X (Classic). Thanks to having just completed P90X (Lean) the previous week, it had been a solid first week. Although, I was surprised at how sore I had been that week considering it was not my first week working out altogether.
Tracked Walks:
VALA Walk
My FitBit Charge 2 auto tracked some my pacing at the VALA Art Center, and some of my walk home from the center.
Total Calories Burned from Workouts: 819
Thought of the day: You can drink tea with Aloe Vera? Neat!

July 15, 2017
I was at the end of my first week of P90X Classic after having just completed P90X Lean, and I still LOVED P90X Kenpo X. It was a treat, and it was a great way to start a Saturday before getting ready to hang out with a friend.
We had lunch at Outback. That day, I decided to do something brave that would not kill me. It was sunny and warm. So, I wore a bralette and bared my arms. It was a sleeveless top that also showed a bit of my midriff. The only thing that covered my arms was SPF 100! It was nice to not have to wear sleeves on a warm day. People treated me like a normal person, and my friend gave me complements.
Weekly Weigh In: 181 lbs (-0.8 lbs)
That mornings weigh in was lack luster to say the least. However, considering how much I went of the rails diet wise the week before, I was surprised to see a loss at all. So there’s that. I was looking forward to the weigh in of the upcoming week.

July 14, 2017
It was Friday and it had been a long week. I woke up ready to go back to sleep. I was definitely looking forward to the weekend. I was still very grateful for the Yoga Every Day series on Gaia. It was like dipping my toe in the water. It really helped get me ready for my morning P90X workouts, Legs and Back, and Ab Ripper X.
I liked Legs and Back. It was a welcome relief to workout body parts that weren’t my arms. I was able to use weights almost all the moves. I was pretty proud of that. Also, even though getting out of bed is never something I feel great about doing, once I got into the workout, I was good to go.

Yoga X is soooooo long! So, many asanas sun salutations!
I didn’t complete a “Yoga Every Day” before my P90X workout that morning since P90X Yoga X is a yoga workout. That would have been redundant. Also, did I mention that Yoga X is a long workout? It is an hour and thirty minutes long, and it is without scheduled breaks! (I pause for water whenever I like, but mostly between each major section)
My tip for this workout is to stay, in the moment, let your body take on each task one at a time, and also, have a good music playlist.
