Role reversal, Le got James pregnant 9 months back, he's been having contractions since 8 in the morning, now they're getting bad and very painful, James is feeling urges to push too, even though his water hasn't broken yet, he holds Le's hand, panting in his hospital gown on their bed!
“Contractions are getting bad…They're so painful, too. I feel an urge to push! Yes, I know my water hasn't broken yet Le, but this is normal...My belly's so tight right now...How far apart are my contractions?"
Le has been timing the contractions since they kicked in at 8 this morning, they are now 4 minutes apart!
"I've been timing them ever since your labor kicked in at 8 this morning, James. They're now 4 minutes apart and they are very strong as well." Kneeling, Le helps James into a kneeling position in his arms, they sway from side-to-side... "This will help you out some. I learned that swaying helps with labor." Le's other hand is on James's contracting belly, he feels the baby drop lower... "The baby moved lower, it'll be time soon, love. Oh, your water bag's pushing out now, it means your water's finally breaking! Take slow deep breaths, James. I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere. Breathe and relax everything." He hears a gasp from James as his water breaks. Acting quickly, Le checks James's dilation! "Okay, you're 8 centimeters dilated and active labor begins when your dilation reaches 10 centimeters. Just keep breathing. I love you so much." Le gently kisses James on his lips, cradling his laboring spy in his arms.
