MPSE Golden Reel Awards Nominations Announced

The Motion Picture Sound Editors has revealed the nominations for its 69th annual Golden Reel Awards in categories spanning feature film, television, animation, computer entertainment and student productions. The awards will be presented March 13 during a virtual event due to COVID-19.

As previously announced, Ron Howard will receive the MPSE Filmmaker Award during the presentation and Anthony “Chic” Ciccolini III will receive a career achievement award.

Nominations include:

Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing – Feature Effects / Foley

Belfast - Focus Features

Sound Designer: James Mather

Sound Editor: Tomas Blazukas

Foley Editor: Arthur Grayley

Foley Artists: Sue Harding, Oliver Ferris

Assegnati gli #MPSE #GoldenReelAwards, i riconoscimenti con cui il sindacato dei montatori del sonoro (la Motion Picture Sound Editors) elegge ogni anno i migliori professionisti del settore. Solitamente i loro verdetti prevedevano i vincitori agli Oscar nella categoria Best Sound Editing. Dallo scorso anno però con l'accorpamento delle due categorie (Best Sound Editing e Best Sound Mixing) nel Best Sound, indicano i possibili favoriti agli Oscar nella categoria Miglior sonoro a cui andranno aggiunti i vincitori dei Cinema Audio Society Awards. Tra i vincitori di quest'anno solo #WestSideStory e #Dune sono stati candidati agli Oscar per il miglior sonoro con il secondo che ha vinto 10 Film Critics Association Awards tra cui il BAFTA.
