"Geez, I guess so," Raven agreed with a small huff, shifting her weight from one foot to the other restlessly. She had taken a break from writing with the intention to just pop out to the convenience store for an energy drink and a snack, figuring it would take 15 minutes tops. No big deal.

But when she had made her way to the check out, she had been surprised to see a rather long line forming behind someone buying a huge amount of seemingly random stuff. It was nearly 2 o'clock in the morning. She could understand people who worked night shifts shopping at odd hours, but this seemed a little excessive.

"What kind of psycho buys 28 boxes of cereal at a convenience store in the middle of the night? Feels like unhinged supervillain behaviour."

“Oh?” It wasn’t something Izanami heard very often; in fact, that off-handed comment took her aback, lips upturned into a lopsided grin. “That’s okay. It doesn’t happen everyday, but hey, we may have actually met before.” She was left studying the young lady’s features, delicate with a shrilling coolness to it, and even she was stunned momentarily by her beauty. “What’s your name?”

" you... you know the wine was for the stew, don't you?! "

"It was what?" Blair blinked, somewhat perplexed that such good wine could be wasted on stew. She had a glass in one hand and the bottle in the other, as well as a full glass already on the bench top for Fallyn. "That's a complete waste of the alcohol content! You're ridiclulous," she insisted, sipping her glass, "Just use more chilli paste?"

" well, at least we know the smoke alarms work, right? "

Letting out a long, defeated sigh, Tsukuyomi threw his hands into the air, tossing his chopsticks onto the table as he got up to turn his alarm off. “Seriously, sooner or later my sprinklers will go off, too.” The beef was amazing, though, and as he stared at the bubbling broth in the pot and the vegetables waiting to be cooked, he craved a bit more of this comfort food. “I don’t understand why you like to have hot pot here in my office,” he still scolded her lightly, “how about assessing the damages I’d suffer if one day my alarms don’t work and a fire goes off in here?”

"What were you thinking, running off like that?”

"Technically, I didn't run off - I took a train," Blair retorted, looking back at the other girl's serious gaze. She sighed, shrugging her shoulders as she busied herself with cleaning a glass - anything rather than having to explain her absence for the past months. "The point is that I'm back, right? My job's still here, my apartment's intact," she put the glass down and picked up another, "Nothing's changed."
