Yeah, I visited Texas and loved how nice everyone was and stuff, but I was afraid that if I went there for school or something everyone would be crazy haha. This response was helpful!

I’m glad! some of the really small towns can be pretty bad in terms of conservatism but the big cities and even some of the smaller college towns are def safe bets. I love Houston and Austin and I’ve heard good things about Dallas/Fort Worth and San Antonio. 

like I’m moving to Austin this month for school and 80% of the people i’ve met are self-described feminists/sjws/socialists/etc. I can’t even believe we’re all Texan

Your opinion on Texas?

I’m actually proud to be from Texas and I get really defensive when people make negative generalizations about us. there’s so much culture, history, character, and beauty here that gets overshadowed by the horrible people in power. it’s a shame honestly. 

this is my short and concise answer lol I could write pages and pages about my love for Texas and rant about gerrymandering/corruption/my hatred for “let em secede!” jokes but!! I’ll spare you
