happened to me in the game. laughed my ass off. raul just fucking went missing for a moment there. completely gone. three seconds of impenetrable silence before pop up informed me that he's down
i saw sierra madre's lobby mosaic and i was never the same. i had to draw something similar with mr. curious when i delved into dead money dlc, i didn't know how freaking well it works with my courier's backstory. it's like his past keeps sinking it's claws into his body though he doesn't have any memories about it. but elijah, a man he respected and who then became the reason for his exile, is there to remind him anyway, this dlc is EASILY the best one for me and it left mr. curious way more traumatized than before

sorry i just wanted to preach about how genius mr. curious is as a concept. i hope you don't mind me dismantling him real quick but GODDD i absolutely can't get my mind off of him. viewing everything as amusing post-accident is SUCH a good way to give you a bit of wiggle room when you can't get 100% into the courier's mind. because in a meta sense, fallout: new vegas IS just a game!!! it comes to mind when viewing your comic with raul... it's SUCH a good way to transfer funny in-game occurrences... forgive me if this makes zero sense i've been up for 14 hours and i just really love mr. curious... can't stop thinking about that guy.

when i was creating him, i remember being like "i don't know anything about fallout so i gotta make a character who also doesn't know stuff". of course amnesia is a good way to make things lore-easier on me but his reaction would be affected by some kind of recollection from his past i think? and i didn't want that, i wanted a fully clean sheet without any opinion on factions etc. i don't remember precisely what my logic was behind his "finds everything funny" part, but it was a good way to escape prejudice now that i think about it! he just finds stuff curious and funny, at least before he forms a full opinion on mojave's events
