Piggybacking off of this amazing psychoanalysis I wrote, I've always wondered why Brooke kept Mr. Diamond's last name after the divorce because the divorce was clearly pre-established and had to have been finalized before the start of the show. If there was ever a reason, I'd have thought it'd be way deeper than it just being too difficult or expensive because divorce court is a bitch and she doesn't seem like the kind of person to want to keep his last name anyway. But then it occurred to me that she built an entire business empire with that name (Brooke Diamond Cosmetics) and changing that whole thing would be a motherfucker (and not a very sound business practice, if I may be so bold).
