This time of year, there are inevitably mail carriers and delivery persons scrambling madly, trying to cope with an avalanche of packages. Yesterday, a frazzled young man barged through the door of our London bookstore. He set a heavy wooden box on the floor. "If this isn't the right place, don't even tell me. I have been all over town, trying to find Diagon Alley. Where the hell is that? It's not on the map. As far as I can tell, there's no such address. But somebody told me that your place has all sorts of weird crates and old boxes, so congratulations. This is now yours." Without waiting for an answer, he turned and walked out.
