I'm so glad Dr. Gregory (may he rest in peace) is getting his dues for being one of like two decent teachers in Sunnydale High. But while we're at it, I think we should also give a shoutout to Mr. Platt. He was the only mental health professional that Buffy ever spoke to about her problems (that vampire guy in season 7 was a still a student so he doesn't count). And even though Buffy was resistant to talk to a guidance counselor at first, Mr. Platt actually managed to get through to her, and he could have been a really positive influence in her life if he hadn't been murdered by Pete, the extremely poor man's incredible hulk. I think it's time we recognize Mr. Platt as another one of the (very few) decent members of the Sunnydale High staff who was taken from us far too soon.
