Probably one of the funniest thing in Mr. Punch is Bloch discovering that his son have apparently lived with a man for a while, that he is missing him very much, and he cannot find him and he doesn't know were he is and he is terrorized, even if from what he tell it have passed only a night since he last saw him, and still he continue to call him only a collegue.

I am picturing Bloch mentally going "does my son....think i am homophobic?!? That i would not accept him?!?"

April Fool's Day is my least favorite holiday, so I'm sharing my very old drawing of Mr. Punch to guard me from pranks and lies!   (I never did draw Judy.  Maybe I should?)

My interpretation of Mr. Punch, character from 16th century Italian comic theater ported into England as a children's puppet show in which the jester-like main character beats everyone to death with a stick.

Appealing to me as a traditional form of horror comedy.

Also because Mr. Punch is an important figure in the religion on Summerisle in my favorite movie ever, The Wicker Man and because he paved the way for those violent comedic puppets of the 20th century The Muppets before Jim Henson's death and their tragic Disneyfication.
