korey didn’t expect any visitors. despite believing he’d made quite an impression, he doubted it was the right one -- one that made visiting him in hospital appropriate. that’s why he’s surprised and relieved when he reopens his eyes to jordan’s face. a gentle smile lighting up his features as a result. the last thing he really wanted to be, was alone. pain and fear had struck him as soon as the battle had occurred. a war he should never have been in, but one he had acquired a war wound for, just the same. “...you should see the other guy,” he speaks quietly; a croak in his voice that he’s currently unable to tame, “because i didn’t get to see him...” he’ll admit, laughter falling -- though wincing once it has, he immediately regrets it. “how’re you....are you okay?” // @mrcyls
her life never truly was dull in essence, not even once for a true moment. from participating in illegal affairs at the tender age of ten down to witnessing the assassination of her father at twenty-five, it seemed there was nothing eleanor fazio hadn’t been through before. from one gang infested city to the next, there was no fear melting into her gait whenever she strolled down the streets at night nor an erratic skip of a beat whenever she saw an unveiled weapon. it would be too pathetic for her to do, that darned mafia pride still severely instilled into her mind. “ — excuse me ! ” eleanor piped up once she saw an individual leave an alley with a longline coat wrapped tightly around their frame. a smile crept up on her features as she motioned towards the abandoned bag on the floor with her chin. perhaps the older woman should show some fear in a town littered with crime. “ i think you dropped that. ”

“So the moral of the story would be to make sure your skirt isn’t tucked into your thong before leaving the lady’s room. I still can’t believe people let me walk around with my ass out! Actually, scratch that. I believe it. People can be…cruel.”

AN EMOJI FOR A DRABBLE / ACCEPTING !
they’re walking back to pippa’s apartment, the only light leading them home being the sliver of the moon, casting the world in a silver shade. wow, pippa thinks, high heels clacking against the pavement, unaware that her companion has moved behind her. the moon is so pretty tonight ! there’s just something about it that is just so mystical. but it’s really pretty tonight. i wonder if jordan th— ‘ AHHHH ! ’ after the cherub drops to the ground as a form of protection against her friend-turned-assailant, she puts two hands on the ground to steady herself as her voice dramatically wails, ‘ on a list of things people should not be allowed to do in the town of valdez, the first thing on the list should be scaring me ! ’

Mariana shut the over door and leaned forward, putting in the prescribed time written in the cookbook her mother had given her years before. She couldn’t wait until the apartment was smelling of cookies and spice cake; it was the perfect environment for decorating.
“Alright, they’re in,” she called out to Val, peeking her head around the wall to find her making sure the tree was straight. For the most part the rest of the apartment was done; lights were hung all over along with plenty of green garlands and pine limbs. All that was left was to decorate the tree. “Ready to finish this? I can start checking the lights.” @mrcyls
🎄( val x mari because this is actually happening )
Mariana was seated on the couch, removing all the ornaments from their packages. “I can’t believe how much you spent on Christmas decorations,” she commented, handing Val a glass one to add to the tree they’d picked out together earlier that day. “But this place looks great.” She stood up a moment later with the angel for the top in her hands. “Would you like to do the honors?”
