Tis the Season

Specifically, it's Hogswatch Season. That magical time of year when I get my closest friends together, and have them watch the "Hogfather" miniseries with me. Also, something about the sun rising

Now, if you know me, you know I'm a theatre kid, through and through. In this case, it means I have a weakness for the aesthetic, and everything has to be as over-the-top as possible

In the Spirit of that, I have baked 2 Pork Pies, from "Nanny Ogg's Cookbook" (with a few changes, because I don't drink alcohol, and Ham Stock is surprisingly hard to find). I'll keep you updated about how it is at the party tomorrow. My current thoughts: "could look better (but it's my first pie ever, so...), but it smells pretty good"

Mrs Whitlow, huge, pink and becorseted, patted her ginger wig and nudged the tiny maid who was hovering beside her like a tugboat.

'Tell his lordship, Ksandra,' she ordered.

Ksandra looked as though she was regretting the whole thing.

'She hwas dusting,' said Mrs Whitlow, helpfully. When Mrs Whitlow was in the grip of acute class consciousness she could create aitches where nature never intended them to be.
