People we’ve lost 2016 - Florence Henderson
“No problem was ever solved by crawling into a hole."
~ Florence Henderson, as Carol Brady. (1934 - 2016)
I am shocked to learn that Mrs. Brady herself, Florence Henderson, has passed away. Let us remember her in this funny clip from Whose Line is It Anyway alongside Ryan Stiles.

Matt and his Cats
“I’m home!” Matthew Harrison Brady announces to his vacant living room.
Sounds of Mrs. Brady bustling around in the kitchen were drowned out by the pitter-patter of small feet running towards Matt. The mewing of cats, from an overweight snowball to a thin shadow all get louder as the herd barrels towards him.
Throwing his pinstriped suit coat over the leather coach’s arm, Matt patiently waits until all 5 of his purring cats sit in front of him.
A tabby cat rubs against his leg, pawing at his shined leather dress shoes. Matt gently shakes the feline off of his leg.
“Now Genesis… Sit,” he commands. The tabby reluctantly slinks back into the pack of cats.
“Leviticus, Isaiah, Ezekiel and Titus, I present to you the newest member of our makeshift family. Though he may not come from as royal a background as you, he is now family and we must accept him as such. As Hebrews 13:2 rightfully puts it, ‘Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.’ Drum roll—Erm. Never mind. Anyways…”
Unclipping his leather briefcase, Matt lifts a violet-collared calico kitten into the air.
“This is Henry.”
Henry Drummond, unbeknownst to Matt sits in the shadows of the living room, watching the exchange between Brady and these animals. Rather amusedly, he observes the exchange between his dear friend and the calico cat, whose cobalt eyes are trained on Leviticus.
Henry clears his throat to gain Matt’s attention.
