So you're dating this sweet guy you met in college (well at a college party more like), and sure he's a little weird and his family is a little weird but it's the seventies and he's been home schooled all his life (and you're pretty sure he grew up in a cult) so you can understand him being a bit off kilter. And one day he tells you that he's going to go away for a bit, but that everything's fine and it's all going to keep on being fine.
And it is. Only the timing is absolute shit because you've missed your period and every test you've gotten is saying that you're pregnant which is a nightmare because your boyfriend isn't even here and you're in your twenties and panicking. But he comes back and he looks happy? A bit withdrawn, and a little different, but you've got bigger fish to fry than whatever the hell is going on with him.
Well he's certainly thrilled to hear that you're going to be parents (he was planning on proposing apparently? But he always did say he wasn't the sort to settle down, that he wanted to travel the world and be free. You'd bonded over that and bad tequila once upon a time), and you really need a place to stay because your parents freaked out and disowned you and you don't really have the money for an abortion. And there's also something about the little monster(s) that makes you hesitate, but you won't find out what it really was until it's way too late.
