What The Future Holds
Sometimes I get so afraid because I have no idea what my future holds. As a sickle cell carrier we are told that we wouldn't live long & although my cut off days was suppose to be before age 16 my God proved all the nay sayin Dr.s wrong. Now at age 38 I am proud to still be standing but as I look back through my photos I can't help but wonder when God might decide to call me home. Will I see my husband come back home from prison? Will I witness my suns graduation from college? His wedding? His kids? Will I sit proud as my daughter holds her PHD and find the cure for this dis ease? I have no idea but one things for sure...if & when I do go I'll die trying! ©Karma
