DUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE, your colouring is sooo on point! I love it! I read that you're just starting to learn how to colour? If it's true then damn, you sure are good! As I said - love your art ^^ Keep doing what you do best! You'll go places.

WHOA THANK YOU… This is so motivating oh my God. Well coloring is something that comes naturally when you start drawing, so I’ve been coloring for as long as I draw, but recently (around january) I started regularly watching videos of an artist on youtube called Sycra. One of the things he said on one of the critiques/speedpaintings etc is that learning the basics is essential even if you think you got it all figured out. So the first half of the semester I spent only drawing. Like, doodles, half-colored pictures, sketched, just to get proportions and such a little more in depth, as opposed to what I’ve been doing.

I had no profound knowledge in either anatomy, proportions, perspective, values or color picking to be honest. It was all very mediocre - I guess it still isn’t far more than that but that’s the point of learning and studying. Which is why I can’t really say I know how to do it, I’m in the process of learning how colors work, how they work together, how light works on objects and so on and so forth.

Omg this ask is way more lenght-y than I had intended but I just wanted to more or less use this as a way to influence other people on learning basics before trying to do everything else. Like, one foot before of the other one? So to speak. My art still has long ways to go and although it seems frustrating we’ll grow accordingly to our efforts so thanks for the motivational message, I’ve been needing this kind of messages lately and this was very refreshing ;;

Hehe~ Thank youuuuu! ^_^ I do try REALLY hard to be amazing. haha, jk!!! One of the best things about making gifs or making posts in general is the feedback you get or the tags. Like seriously it’s cute and there are a lot of hilarious people on here. Also so far I really like the ARMY fandom on tumblr in general. ♥ Thanks for this though it’s really nice of you to say.
