Sincerely i have no idea how i discovered kpop but as i remember it was around march in 2012. I probably just looked up at some youtube videos and got myself in too deep. Suju was my first bias group, i remember how hard it was for me to differentiate them, sometimes i had this impression there were 20 of them. Their song A-cha is still the most listened song on my ipod (more than 200 times but i actually fell asleep having it on replay during a long bus trip to London in HS during march...) I think at first i didn’t know anything about how kpop worked, i had no friends listening to it. My oldest memory as a kpop fan is anticiping After School’s comeback with Flashback then Super Junior’s Sexy, Free and Single which was in June. For Flashback i remember seeing the teaser and thought “you can tease music videos? How am i gonna wait till it comes out ?” ( i was still an innocent soul). I remember this clearly because i was studying for the first part of the “BAC” ( french end of High school exam).)

Funny story, long after that while looking at all the old Suju mvs i realized i kind of already knew them. During middle school (2009 i think) some girl in my class made me listen to a song she was obssessed with, i liked it so much i actually dowload it. Guess what it was Super Junior ‘It’s you’ !. I had it in my ipod (more like mp3 at that time lmao) during all this time ! Without realizing it i was actually introduce to kpop 6 years ago.

For bias groups, i fell in love with f(x) with their electric shock comeback. For Teen top i heard they came to Paris for a concert so i checked them on their comeback with Miss Right and BAM ! And for BTS i’ll have to blame Sabi and Luise respectively oh-wang-choi-liu-king-at and lulubyte at the time for flooding my dash with them, taking me to the darkness :’)
