How did you get into kpop? it was almost 4 years ago, uhm i was watching a varisty fanclub cover of a kpop song, and decided to check them out, and then bAM. thats how it happened

Who are some of your favorite non-kpop artists? idk i dont really have any? i mean yes i listen to american artists and junk, but i guess i dont have any favorites....? maybe chris brown, he has so many good songs, and a nice voice.. i know a lot of people hate the guy, but u have to admit he has some pretty bangin songs.

What’s your most embarrassing moment? ^^ wow i have so many, but probably the time my top fell of while i was at an amusement park yes. horrible moment, horrible horrible moment.

Which is cuter, baby squirrel or baby penguin? penguin because i strongly dislike squirrels. ever since i got bite by one when i was like 5, ive never really liked those evil beasts.

depends on my mood? haha. usually red bean or milk or calpico or matcha ice cream or lychee or mango fuck that's a lot i'm indecisive

5. how many countries have you visited? which were they?

i haven't actually been to many countries ("many countries", i'm being a brat i suppose in comparison to most i've been to a lot) but more so been to those countries many times to various cities. like, in china alone i've been to so many cities i honestly can't remember half of them, which is a pity. anyway. i've been to china, other parts of canada, the us (including hawaii), mexico, germany, spain, and australia. i think that's it? i feel i'm forgetting somewhere. i'm going to korea in october, too.

6. who are some of your favorite non-kpop artists?

oh man, so many. i'm more into indie/alternative stuff. (not a hipster though! that's important to clarify in this society nowadays!) the kills are like the pinnacle of excellence, though, so the kills for sure. the national, albert hammond jr., brand new, air, eliza doolittle, norah jones, scanners, m83, generationals, theophilus london, the toxic airborne event, gentleman reg, coeur de pirate, sinatra, scarlett johansson...and on a more 'mainstream' note, the xx, kanye west, jay-z, lana del rey, florence + the machine, arctic monkeys, frank ocean, marina and the diamonds, vampire weekend, phoenix, gaga, and gwen stefani. i'm listening to all my alt stuff right now and wow i missed this so much /sigh/

7. what’s your most embarrassing moment? ^^

hahhahahahahahhahahahhaha so many omg no this is so brutal ummmmm??? oh god. probably that time my parents and i met up with one of my dad's board members (/investor? don't remember) and MY GODDAMNED CUTLERY SLIPPED FROM MY GRASP IN FRONT OF HIM I WAS SO EMBARRASSED this doesn't sound like a big deal but it was a big deal ok those things are not supposed to happen when you are meeting someone like that fuck it was so noisy when it dropped too oh my god

baby penguin, i think? aren't baby squirrels practically hairless with big bulging eyes and limp bodies?

9. if you had to choose one thing to represent your childhood, what would it be?

it's not really a tangible thing, but more so an event and emotion. i always get this feeling - it's indescribably beautiful, i actually think it's some sort of a high - every time i land at the beijing airport, and just that feeling all the way from getting off the plane and stepping into the city...it's the car ride that does it, though. it's especially beautiful at night, just this feeling of everyone speaking mandarin, which somehow comforts me in a nostalgic way? it's of that, and seeing all the billboards and ads written in chinese and the whole city rushing by, the whole juxtaposition of it all and the bright lights...there's something infinitesimally beautiful about it all to me. i used to go back to beijing every summer starting from i was four, but i stopped a few years ago because of summer school and such...so i suppose it reminds me of that now, every time i land and ride the car back home. it's really weird. whenever i want to be back in china, i'll flip to the mandarin channel and just listen to the chinese ads, i don't know...asian ads, the voice types used are different from in the western world, and somehow i just really miss that all the time.
