You know I thought I found dating sims hard to get into because I was just uninvested in games about just like. Choosing dialogue options to make a character fall in love with you or not fall in love with you since I'm not super invested in sex or romance. But I think the issue was that I hadn't seen one w characters that are like, my type. I think I will play your dating sim I would like to choose dialogue options to make them fall in love w me. I think my heart is set on Keiko or Paul <3
Btw I really love your art I hope development is going well and you're enjoying creating this game it looks very exciting!
honestly - i feel same about the genre!
i don't play romantic games like date simulators, or even rpg like bg3, because they never have diversity in romantic interests!
it's always skinny/6 packs guys, maximum variety is adding one black dude with getting ton of hate from audience, and different hair styles women. I mean come on, in bg3 they had a bear-druid and they didn't make him gay-bear build in human form, are you kidding me
worse - usually games doesn't have even much of npc or not-romance options but interesting build characters in general! just worlds with skinny/6 packs not-yet-disabled people.
even sims games! the life simulator!
they have werewolves, mermaids, star wars collaboration;
characters can drive a bicycle, cars and ride horses; but you can't make wheelchair user character. or character with big-impact on appearance feature like unique burn or unique asymmetrical face difference. or even fat character - in simulator of life with one of core part of gameplay being creating a human character, fat figure options are ridiculously limited. you can't even play with variety of fat folds and it's sizes!
but hey, in Sims - the life simulator - you can grow the wall of meat (in official game. its not a mod), and have animation of woo ho in trash cabin. horey?
no, it's not horey and not okay and not normal.
for our real diverse world we need real diverse characters in media - so people feel loved and see beauty in mirrors, not "joke/cute joke/disgusting" "range" of stereotypes.
taking concept of "ugliness" from the head gives you true power - Love for yourself and others, seeing Beauty in Everything.
This Power is for sure smashing Towers - that's why they don't want your heart to bloom so much - concrete is not a block even for dandelion!
