“MAY I HAVE THIS DANCE?”  charles blake steps up to table;  he is the vision of an old friend.  he’s been back from poland for a few weeks now, but he has not reached out to the crawleys after the way he’d left things with mary.  he felt it best to give her space.  it’s been over a year since they’d last seen in other, and quite frankly -- charles had not expected her to be here in london.  he stands there, a hand extended, looking quite charming in a tuxedo.  if he’s being honest. . . he has thought much about her.  it’s a good thing that tony is finally married off to miss fox.

"I BELIEVE THE KING’S VISIT WAS A SUCCESS,”  thomas cannot help himself.  of course not.  he is thomas barrow, after all. . . and he is still bitter.  although it did grant him time off to be with richard.  ( the thought of him makes him want to smile, but thomas refrains. ) “i do hope everything was up to your standards, milady.”  and with that, thomas places the tea down in the library and goes to pour her a cup.  he turns to her and hands her the teacup, giving her a politely bitter smile.
