Today in Ms Garcia's technology class, students were introduced to Microsoft Publisher. We learned how to make greeting cards from scratch and how to modify templates to create our own unique artistic creations. We thought about color, font, and negative space as we designed our thank you cards. Each card has 3 panels.

Today in Ms Garcia's 7th grade computer class we explored the different functions of Power Point and then used those tools to describe ourselves as artists, students, and people. Here's an example from Anaiyah!

Today in Ms Garcia's technology class, we looked at the differences between organic and geometric shapes and discussed the emotions that each convey. We then used geometric shapes to create a recognizable, colorful image.

Today 5th graders in Ms Garcia's computer class used Microsoft Word to experiment with shape, line, color, font and symmetry. We learned how to use the copy & paste function to replicate designs symmetrically across a page. Here's some of our work!

Over a 3-week unit, 4th grade students in Ms. Garcia's computer class were introduced to basic computer concepts and beginning graphic design. We finished the unit by making flyers using shape, line, color, text, and symmetry to express our opinions on issues that affect our lives.
