I haven’t decided what to do with her yet except romance Sera. This is literally all I have on her: qunari lady, rowdy drunk, falls tits over horns for the mouthy elf archer.
(she was going to be Polly Trevelyan with a really tiresome noble-child-turned-Robin-Hood backstory but then I was like “meh, that’s annoying, plus I’ve already got a human. TIME FOR SOME HORNS AND STRAIGHT-UP MERC WORK.”)
It’ll be a bit before I actually start her - I want to get some Kylie fics done first, and given how quickly that girl ran away with my heart I’m pretty hesitant to casually start up someone else right now, plus I’m already in the “everything is so fucking tedious” stage with most of this game, so I’m going to give it a rest for a while - though I may toss some things into her tag if I can figure out a general aesthetic for her besides Drunk Smartass Lesbian.

I'd been reluctant to get into that one because I was worried the first-person stuff would make me motion sick. How is it on that front, if you don't mind my asking?
Not awful! (granted I did also take a Dramamine in anticipation of having problems with it)
The Tower (basically their version of the Citadel) bits are all in third-person, so the majority of the Wander Around, Find People And Stuff bits are in 3POV.
There’s something about it that’s just...really awesome. The controls and what you see on the screen are intuitive and not at all herky. I feel like the gun and the knife are an extension of me, and my character responds perfectly to everything I do.
The camera is super steady when you’re moving - none of this bouncy crap; your hands and gun move, but the camera itself does not unless you jump or crouch.
The map’s pretty solid, with an objective marker that updates direction properly as you turn corners, so you aren’t spinning around so much wondering where you’re going. And I think having had enough experience with shooters - even in 3POV - with Mass Effect has helped me be a less overwhelmed when there’s shit shooting at me from all directions, which means that I’m more intentional with the camera and character motions instead of just flopping around aimlessly.
(I only died once in the prologue and that’s entirely because I decided that of course I could run up to the mob and stab everyone in the face why wouldn’t that work?)
I mean, I feel a little off, but that could also be that I’ve not really eaten today or had much water and that someone just mowed the grass outside. It’s not remotely to the extent that I did with Call Of Duty, or Portal, or even Remember Me (which is 3POV but the camera in that can bite me so hard).

It’s childish and cowardly, but Cora’s had a look on her face for the past week. A look that’s half pity, half regret, and Vivienne only likes that look when she’s the one giving it to others. She made her arrangements quietly and quickly, and rides out of Wycome’s gates, Templar escort beside her, as the Chantry bells ring two in the morning.
She leaves in the night, without so much as a note.
Cora knows her feelings, and she knows Cora’s. A note would do no good. The leaving is enough explanation in itself, a statement made stronger for its lack of accessories.
I have left because of you.
Perhaps it’s cruel of her, to not even explain the need for sudden departure to her First Enchanter, to no one. She’s burdened Cora with being the sole bearer of why she’s left in the night without so much as a note.
Perhaps the true cruelty is that she does not care.
Vivienne is not a cruel woman. But her heart aches and eyes sting, and though the winter wind howls past her ears and waves crash on the shore below, it isn’t loud enough to drown out the memory of I’m sorry, Vivienne. I...I love Edward.
