Under A Midnight Sun 2.1

Back home, one of the first things Eloi did was plant some cabbage. He had gotten a hang of gardening ever since he harvested all those tasty fruits in Shang Simla.
And Lita was getting acquainted with the rest of the Gardner family. Evelyn was glad that there was such a proper and neat girl coming to live with them. All of the family members seemed to be quite neglectful when it came to cleaning the house.
Lita didn't appreciate Cinnamon peeing all over the floor that she had just cleaned.
More Lita-on-a-cleaning-spree spam.
For some reason, Zack was outside lifting the garbage can and the gnome seemed to be cheering him on. Maybe Mr. Evil Gnome wanted one of his human minions to tip over the garbage can and thus complete his first step towards total island dominion.
Eloi: "How are you liking it here so far?" Lita: "It's hectic and chaotic, but I love it."
Ooooh~ I wonder what these two are up to.
(´ε` )♡ Yussssss. Baby-makin' time!
Lovey-dovey. ♥
Cinnamon always made an entire mess when she ate her food. It probably had to do with the fact that she was so tiny and that her food bowl was wayyy too big for her. She got the food all over herself and then proceeded to run around the room with her sticky paws.
Zack had managed to raise his inventing skill to the 9th level, but it could be pretty tiresome.
This household is so not ready for having two elders, but hey - here we go! Evelyn was aging up.
And she turned out to be one of the cutest eldery ladies everrr.
Lita was desperately trying to touch the ground with her toes, but she was already too far into sea. She was athletic, but preferred to do martial arts instead of taking a swim.
Eloi's cabbage plant was coming along nicely.
Looovely. Dont't worry, dear, the tide will wash that away.
The house had been in desperate need of remodeling and redecorating. Everything moved up one floor and they now had something that you might even call a garden. This is the new kitchen and dining area. It still doesn't have enough seats for everyone, but they'll just have to eat their dinner separately.
Lita: "I feel strange."
Ooooh, look! It's a baby bump! Who could've guessed that?
Céline was far too absorbed in the story she's reading to notice the fact that her brother's girlfriend just found out she was pregnant.
Lita decided to go upstairs and tell Eloi immediately. She found him in Zack's room, playing videogames.
Lita: "You know how I told you that I have seven siblings and that my mother was incredibly fertile?"
Eloi: "...Yes?"
Lita: "Well, guess what! There's a bun in my oven!"
Eloi: "Are you serious? That's great! My mom will be so happy!"
Eloi: "This only asks for more reasons to celebrate."
Eloi: "Lita, will you marry me and be my wife?"
Lita: "Well, why the heck not? But please let's not get married when I'm still pregnant, I want to look good in my dress."
Eloi: "Seriously: whatever you want."
Zack was known as the grumpy one and occasionally, he would have one of his "moods". Céline was the only one who dared to get near to him whenever he was cranky, but she dealt with him by basically ignoring him. This didn't improve his mood at all.
Telling the rest of the "family" that you're pregnant: everybody wants to feel your tummy.
Céline had gotten the flu and was forced to spend as much time in bed as possible. She slept a lot and during her waking hours, Cinnamon was there to keep her company.
Yep. Being an expecting mother can be pretty tiresome.
It seemed as if Evelyn had gotten the flu too. She wanted to spend the afternoon cooking, but couldn't - or else she would get her germs all over the place. It was hard not to get infected too when there were so many people living in such a small house.
Slowdancing with his fiancée.
Matthias was showing off his mad gaming skills and Céline was just wondering when her dad became so good at video games. She wanted to challenge him, but decided to reconsider that - she had always been a sore loser.
Evelyn had recovered from the flu and she spent her afternoons in the kitchen singing French songs and baking pumpkin pies. Summer was almost over and Evelyn had always liked Autumn the best, it meant that Christmas was close, but it wasn't too cold to go outside. On top of that, she had taken a liking to the seasonal food.
The youngest daughter of the Gardner household had long thought of herself as useless: her eldest brother could paint pretty good and the other one was a genius inventor and here she was, not able to do anything to make money. That's when her father reminded her that she could always pick up writing. Matthias told her about all the stories she had told him when she was still a kid and that he had never met a child with an imagination as rich as hers.
Catching dinner.
Matthias: "I'll surprise Evelyn by making dinner, that way she can relax a bit."
Lita: "...What is that awful smell? Did you burn the food?"
Uh oh...
There was a lot of screaming and crying and pleading for help, but eventually Matthias managed to extinguish the fire with a bit of help from his son, Zack. Evelyn told him not to try and use the oven every again.
Little Cinnamon was pretty dependent on the people in the house. She could not climb all those flights of stairs with her short little puppy-paws, so they had to carry her around a lot.
The days were becoming shorter and colder, but it was perfect weather to enjoy some lazy afternoon sunshine and enjoy the sweet tunes of Eloi playing his guitar.
Who could imagine that something so small could do so much damage?
Baby, you're pregnant. Stop cleaning and go sit on the couch and listen to some music instead, or something.
Eloi: "Do you think it can hear me?"
Lita: "Of course! You should try to sing something!"
Checking the weather. Autumn had officially arrived.
Evelyn had convinced Lita that she should stop her habit of cleaning the house and that she should do something more relaxing. Lita's idea of relaxing was practicing martial arts, but that was a bit difficult to do with her baby bump getting bigger and bigger. So she picked up a brush and started to paint.
Cinnamon didn't agree with Zack's choice of music and decided to ruin it by howling along. He just turned up the volume and the pup eventually gave up.
Even though the full moon casts a creepy green glow on everything, it still makes moments like these more magical. Evelyn and Matthias enjoyed a slow dance in the living room, while everyone else had already gone to bed.
And it seemed that there was also something magical about to happen upstairs.
