Rocky and Jetfire are fighting for custody over Grace while Grace is just vibing not having a single idea about what's happening.

Rocky is using the fact that Jetfire has an on and off thing going on with Starscream, and since Starscream is Starscream it makes him seen as less of a fit to take care of Grace.

Yes, I have seen PHM because it is all my Gf talks about and has been talking about ever since we both read the book and watched the movie when it came out. But we both have decided early on that Grace is a Jetfire baby. Jetfire would be investigating the astrophage problem, and he crosses paths with the Hail Mary and feels a sparkling EM field. Out of curiosity, he finds Grace, and together they work to find a way to save the stars. If Rocky is also there, he helps too. After the talmeba are discovered and in their breeding tanks Jetfire is the one to offer to take Grace home since not only can he get Grace home faster but he can radio his planet and help Earth rebuild itself. Little does Grace know that he is only gonna be visiting earth for a while after all he and Jetfire bonded and Jetfire can't let an amazing scientist live a short life.

Who's each of the sparklings' favorite parent?

Dion/fowler: he gets more attached to Optimus than he wants to admit during his time with him.

Tourniquet/June: starts as Ratchet but slowly becomes drift

Ace/Jack: Arcee he doesn’t have another option

Burnout/miko: she still loves Bulkhead

Sunspot/Raf: Bumblebee and smokescreen get equal love.

Vince: knockout, he’s also the first sparkling to fully accept his new life and genuinely starts to love his new mom early on.

The idea of a sparkling still writing their ao3 fics while on Cybertron genuinely made me laugh. Just the view of a sparkling, managing to convince their caretaker to connect their datapad to Earth's system and typing with their stubby hands just to finish a chapter of their fic is hilarious. Problem is, the caretaker would probably read what they're writing and would probably immediately put a stop once they realize their sparkling isn't writing any sparkling-friendly story.

Being Soundwave's sparkling is probably the worst as his sparkling, but best for soundwave. Not because he's bad- that guy has like what, 20 canonical children but five (or four) in prime. That guy is the best carrier you could ever have.

It's just that.. He can read your thoughts. And being chosen as his sparkling probably means you will not have any privacy whatsoever, that guy will definitely keep you in his chassis until you get used to it.

Imagine being recently turned and practically cursing him out in your mind, and talking to yourself through your mind (loid from spy x family style) and soundwave is like scolding you from cursing and then proceeded to keep you in his chassis to stop any escape plans. He'll probably do an Arcee and kept making the guy calm. Not to mention Laserbeak, unlike the other mechs, the sparkling he'll choose already have a sibling. So even if they're away from Soundwave, Laserbeak will make sure their new sibling is behaved.

If this story took place in G1 or in the comics I would get that but…

In TFP I don’t think is ever mentioned or shown to read minds. Especially considering he gets outmaneuvered by children in that show. So thankfully a human would t have to worry about that.

I do see Spoundwave using his chassis as a form of punishment a lot more then other bots also his field would be on level with Prime’s given his cassette bot frame.

And Lazerbeak is absolutely being the ultimate sparkling sitter!

How would MSDR go down in Shattered Glass?

Before I do that lemme set up my head cannons for how I think the humans would differ in personality.

June: she takes Fowlers place as an agent and is very straight edge and stern with no room for bullshit. Starscream loves her very much and sees her as his little princess.

Jack: Junes son and he takes Miko’s role of being the rebel/punk/ metal head of the group. Him and Breakdown are good friends and Knockout finds their relationship so sweet.

Miko: she takes Raf’s place as being the nerdy tech girl. She is shy and soft spoken so of course Soundwave instantly latches onto her and is her personal life coach. He wants to raise her to grow up to be a confident young femme.

Raf: He takes Jacks place as being the straight man. Instead of being the youngest he is the oldest of the teens and is trying his best to make sure Jack doesn’t get himself killed. I wanna say Dreadwing would take a liking to him.

Fowler: he takes Junes role and is a nurse and is also Miko’s host dad. He’s a very happy guy and loves making jokes and is a big yapper. Megatron loves this man to bits. (Optimus is reminded of a younger Megatron and finds him endearing)

Things would somewhat play the same as the normal au just swapping the characters around and their dynamics.

Optimus in this au though once he finds out that humans are Sparklings he would immediately work to kidnap lots of humans to eventually convert them into bots and raise them to follow his every command (he gets foiled by the deceptions)

Primus also would have something to say about his humans (which he worked very hard to make btw) are being stolen by his brothers people. (Optimus fixes this by killing him in their own version of the season 1 finale)
