I had my first day of clinical today! It was mainly a day to get to know our preceptor and the hospital. It is a small hospital. But I am excited to learn here. I am grateful the hospital isn’t too far from me. The only thing that makes me cry is that change of shifts is at 6 am instead of 7am. So that means, I gotta be at the hospital by 5:45 am. 

We finished early, so a few of us went to go get breakfast and celebrated one of our classmate’s birthday!

Things are fine. They’re fine. Just fine. This week I have 3 exams, which blows my mind. How are you going to give 1 exam that has 8 chapters, 1 exam with 9 chapters, and 1 exam with 5 chapters. Along with an essay. Like what. 

We are going to talk to the professor about changing the due date of the essay. One exam was given a 7 day window to take (Thank god). And then the following week I have a 12 chapter exam. Like wow. What even. But things are fine. its fine

Today we learned about injections! They said we will be participating in flu clinics soon and I am so excited! I am getting closer to my lab mates, and it makes me so excited

I was really bummed about going to such an expensive program, but this school is so student oriented that I’ve grown to love and appreciate this school. Their entire focus is on the students learning and applying the material so we don’t kill anyone. Of  course they care about grades, but it isn’t the biggest priority, we are. On monday, there was awful traffic because of an accident. It took me practically 1.5-2 hours to get to school, and I was rushing in to get to my class because we had a quiz. I was 20 minutes late, but my professor stopped me from rushing. Told me to breathe, and gave me instructions for the quiz. She even gave some extra time for me to catch up because the class already started their quiz. 

This upcoming week, I have 3 exams and 1 essay due. One of the professors decided to have his exam be an at home assessment with examsoft, and gave us a week window to take the exam (practically giving us an extra 7 days to study).

It was a pretty long day. Left my house by 6:50 AM and had back to back lectures until 5 pm. But it was 2 of our cohort’s birthdays so we went to the bar near campus (Metro) to celebrate! I felt so much closer to my cohort coming to this. It is going to be a great year with all of them, and I cannot wait. The family is forming <3

DAY 3 of MAKE SOMETHING NEW EVERYDAY I sourced the drawing from an old anonymous illustrator. There is almost no information about them out there. Very sad. The few drawings I've seen are so inspiring
